Hello. My grandfather on my father's side was Jewish — born in Poland, came to the US before the war. My father was not raised Jewish and neither was I. I have no Jewish education, have never practised Judaism and was raised in a completely secular household with no Jewish identity.
I am now 38 and increasingly interested in connecting with my Jewish heritage. I understand the grandchild rule may apply to me. Does it? And what documentation would I need given that my grandfather passed away in 1987 and I am not sure what records exist?
