Hello. My mother converted to Judaism through a Conservative congregation in Melbourne before I was born. She converted, married my father who is Jewish by birth, and I was raised Jewish — bar mitzvah, Jewish day school, the whole thing.
My question is about my status. My mother's conversion was Conservative — does this affect my eligibility for aliyah? And will I be registered as Jewish given that the question of halachic status through a Conservative convert mother is complicated?
