It includes:
You do not receive your Teudat Zehut at the airport.
You must:
Tip: Appointments may take weeks โ book yours ASAP after arrival using the MyVisit app or gov.il.
Children also receive a Teudat Zehut (with your name as a parent listed).
They must be present at the appointment.
Bring:
You must update your Israeli address at Misrad HaPnim โ this determines where you vote, receive bills, and register for local services.
Bring a rental contract or signed letter from your host (with ID copy).
No available appointments โ keep checking MyVisit daily
Incorrect name spelling โ request a correction immediately
Missing documents โ they may send you home

What Is a Teudat Zehut?
The Teudat Zehut is your Israeli identity card issued by Misrad HaPnim (Ministry of Interior).It includes:
- Your name (Hebrew and English)
- 9-digit ID number
- Date of birth
- Place of birth
- Marital status
- Address (once updated)
When Do I Get It?
You do not receive your Teudat Zehut at the airport.You must:
- Schedule an appointment with Misrad HaPnim
- Go in person after receiving your Teudat Oleh
- Bring the required documents (listed below)

What to Bring to the Appointment
Teudat Oleh (from the airport or Misrad HaAliyah)
Valid foreign passport
Israeli phone number and address
Marriage certificate (if married)
Birth certificates for children (if applicable)
2 passport-style photos (some offices take them digitally)
Childrenโs Teudat Zehut
Children also receive a Teudat Zehut (with your name as a parent listed).They must be present at the appointment.
Bring:
- Childโs foreign passport
- Birth certificate
- Teudat Oleh
- Both parentsโ IDs (if possible)
