Making Aliyah From Sydney

G'day everyone. Julia here, 28, from Sydney. My connection to Judaism is through my mother — she converted through a Progressive congregation in Sydney before I was born and raised me with a strong Jewish identity. I had my batmitzvah, attended Jewish youth movements and have always identified as Jewish.
I understand my situation involves both a non-Orthodox conversion lineage and the grandchild question — my maternal grandmother converted Reform so the chain goes back to her conversion. It is complicated and I have read the pinned posts carefully. I have an appointment with the Jewish Agency Australia next month to discuss my specific file.
I am a graphic designer and my partner — who is Israeli — is returning to Tel Aviv where his family lives. He is not making aliyah, he is going home. I am making aliyah alongside him. The process of coming as a non-Jewish partner of an Israeli is different from coming as an oleh and I am navigating both tracks simultaneously which is interesting.
Would love to connect with other olim from Australia and particularly anyone who has navigated a complex Jewish identity situation through the Jewish Agency.
