Can I make Aliyah if I converted to Judaism?

Yes, you can! But be prepared—it’s a little more complex. I converted through an Orthodox beit din, and I still had to submit everything: the conversion certificate, letter from the rabbis involved, and details of the court.

Make sure your conversion is recognized by the Israeli Rabbinate or the Ministry of Interior. Orthodox conversions are usually accepted without much issue. Conservative and Reform conversions may go through a longer review process, especially if done outside a recognized community.

Also, timing matters. You must have lived an observant Jewish life since your conversion—don’t expect to convert and hop on a plane the next week. Israel wants to see that your conversion is genuine and part of your life.
